SUMMARY:Saturday Sports Injury Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Stormont Vail Health is once again hosting our Sports Injury Clinic to area high school athletes. This year\, we are opening our doors to all schools within our community. \n\n\n\nA sports medicine physician and an athletic trainer will see athletes who may need immediate care for an injury sustained during a game\, but didn’t need to visit the Emergency Department. \n\n\n\nThe clinic will be from 8 – 10 a.m. every Saturday from Sept. 3 – Oct. 29 at Cotton O’Neil Kanza Park\, 2660 SW Third St.\, in Topeka. No appointment is necessary. Please enter through the west doors and proceed to the second floor. \n\n\n\nInjuries appropriate for the clinic include: \n\n\n\nPotential fracturesTorn ligaments including ACLDislocations\n\n\n\nClinic visits will be billed to student athlete’s insurance and a specialty office visit co-pay will be assessed.

SUMMARY:Childbirth Preparation (October 8 & 9) In-Person
DESCRIPTION:Our childbirth classes are taught by experienced educators and are designed to help you and your support person feel more prepared for your labor and delivery experience. Learn about the stages of labor\, pain management tools\, breathing and relaxation techniques\, how to involve your support person\, and more! Dress comfortably and feel free to bring a pillow to help you feel more comfortable during breathing and relaxation exercises. It is ideal for this class to be completed one month to six weeks prior to your due date. \n \n\n\n\nThis class will be held in the Stormont Vail Health Pozez Education Center where couples will be socially distanced. Masks are required. Please enter through the main entrance of Stormont Vail Health. \nNote: Enrollment includes expectant mother and one support person.  This weekend class option will meet two days in a row (October 8th and 9th) from 9 am to 1 pm each day to cover all content. \n\n\n\n\n
