DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Kimberly Brey and Dr. Heather Morrison\, OB/GYNs\, on Saturday\, Mar. 16\, for this month’s Walk with a Doc! \n\n\n\nDrs. Brey and Morrison look forward to empowering attendees with a better understanding of women’s health by offering expertise and answers in a casual setting. Mother & Baby Department team members will also share information about our events\, programs\, and resources to support healthier\, happier\, and holistic pregnancies and deliveries. \n\n\n\nYou don’t need to register for this free event\, but we encourage everyone to wear green in the spirit of spring and new life! While we hope for good weather\, we’ll move the walk inside if the weather is too cold\, rainy\, or snowy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccording to the American Heart Association\, walking as little as 30 minutes a day can provide the following benefits: \n\n\n\n\nImprove blood pressure and blood sugar levels\n\n\n\nHelp maintain a healthy body weight and lower the risk of obesity\n\n\n\nEnhance mental well-being\n\n\n\nReduce the risk of osteoporosis \n\n\n\n\nWalk with a Doc (WWAD) is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire communities through movement and conversation. That’s why bleeding control—keeping the blood inside the body—is the purpose of STOP THE BLEED® training. \n\n\n\nThe person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one who’s most likely to save him or her from bleeding to death. By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®\, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques.
