SUMMARY:Summer Scrubs: June 2025 Session
DESCRIPTION:When kids discover their passions\, they make better choices that contribute to their future success. With that in mind\, our friends at Talent Acquisition developed the Summer Scrubs program for high schoolers entering senior year who are considering a future in healthcare. \n\n\n\nThe first session will run from June 9 to 13\, 2025\, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. SUMMARY:Baby Basics Prenatal Education Groups for Spanish Speakers
DESCRIPTION:Great news for our Spanish-speaking community! The Shawnee County Health Department is offering Baby Basics: Starting Well Prenatal Education Group\, a free six-class course presented in Spanish by labor and delivery nurses from Stormont Vail Health. \n\n\n\nParents and caregivers will learn about: \n\n\n\n\nInfant care\n\n\n\nBreastfeeding and formula feeding\n\n\n\nCommon pains\, changes\, and when to call the provider\n\n\n\nPregnancy\, labor\, delivery—and what to expect after having a baby\n\n\n\n\nAt each class they’ll also receive a goody bag with diapers and other items related to that week’s lesson.
