DESCRIPTION:Our childbirth classes are taught by experienced educators and are designed to help you and your support person feel more prepared for your labor and delivery experience. Learn about the stages of labor\, pain management tools\, breathing and relaxation techniques\, how to involve your support person\, and more! Dress comfortably and feel free to bring a pillow to help you feel more comfortable during breathing and relaxation exercises. It is ideal for this class to be completed one month to six weeks prior to your due date. \n\n\n\nThis class will be held in the Stormont Vail Health Pozez Education Center. Please enter through the main entrance of Stormont Vail Health. \n\n\n\nNote: Enrollment includes expectant mother and one support person.  This class is a series event and will meet August 12th\, 19th\, and 26th from 6 to 8:15 pm each night.

DESCRIPTION:Registration is open. \n\n\n\nAlthough this course is designed to provide information/education to those in a healthcare setting in the event of an active assailant\, the educational principles provided are applicable to nearly every type of organization including schools\, businesses\, places of worship\, care homes\, etc. \n\n\n\nStop the Bleed is an interactive presentation designed to provide the learner practical skills to slow or stop bleeding before emergency personnel arrives. It is an optional presentation for in person attendees at no additional cost and it is not accredited. \n\n\n\nThis conference is offered in person at Stormont Vail Hospital\, Topeka campus and virtually via the Zoom platform. SUMMARY:Welcome Baby
DESCRIPTION:This class is designed to provide up to date information about newborn care\, safe sleep\, car seat safety\, calming a fussy baby\, feedings\, and more.  Adjustments to parenthood as well as nurturing your relationship with your support person will also be covered in this class. Mothers are welcome to bring their support person\, family or a friend who provides support during their pregnancy and beyond.  Class will consist of a combination of presentation and hands on practice of techniques such as diapering and swaddling.  \n\n\n\nClass is held in the Pozez Education Center Auditorium at Stormont Vail Hospital.
