DESCRIPTION:Boys experience puberty also and while usually starting later than girls\, the time in a boys life between the ages of 10-13 is filled with many physical and emotional changes. These changes are exciting\, but also are often puzzling\, sometimes embarrassing\, and usually challenging to a young adolescent. Join us for a discussion that will focus on the physiological changes of puberty\, the developmental tasks of early adolescence and ways to improve communication between boys and their parents. This class features a time for boys and their parents to be together but also have time for facilitated discussion separately. \n\n\n\nFee: $25 for each parent/child duo; $12.50 for each additional sibling. SUMMARY:Welcome Baby In-Person
DESCRIPTION:This three hour class will consist of updated information for the whole family. Such topics include an overview of basic infant care incorporating breastfeeding\, bathing techniques\, diapering\, swaddling\, car seat information. Sleep safety\, access to community resources and baby wearing (slings). One segment will be dedicated to dads. This will be an opportunity for dads to discuss their questions about fatherhood among other men. Finally\, adjustment to parenthood as well as nurturing your relationship with your support person will be covered in this class. Mothers are welcome to bring their support person\, family or a friend who provides support during their pregnancy and beyond. \nNote: Enrollment includes expectant mother and one support person.
