Dress comfortably and feel free to bring a pillow to help you feel more comfortable during breathing and relaxation exercises. It is ideal for this class to be completed one month to six weeks prior to your due date. \n \n\n\n\nThis class will be held in the Stormont Vail Health Pozez Education Center. Please enter through the main entrance of Stormont Vail Health. \nNote: Enrollment includes expectant mother and one support person.  This weekend class option will meet two days in a row (July 13th & 14th) from 9 am to 1 pm each day to cover all content.

DESCRIPTION:Boys experience puberty also and while usually starting later than girls\, the time in a boys life between the ages of 10-13 is filled with many physical and emotional changes. These changes are exciting\, but also are often puzzling\, sometimes embarrassing\, and usually challenging to a young adolescent. Join us for a discussion that will focus on the physiological changes of puberty\, the developmental tasks of early adolescence and ways to improve communication between boys and their parents. DESCRIPTION:Stormont Vail Health is proud to partner with the 70th Brown Anniversary Coalition to present “The Health of the BIPOC Community: A Discussion on Gun Violence\,” a free community forum open to the public. \n\n\n\nDuring this evening of healing and hope\, presenters will: \n\n\n\n\nDescribe how historical structural inequities manifest today as healthcare disparities\n\n\n\nDiscuss the intersection of gun violence and healthcare\, including mental health\n\n\n\nRelate the financial impact of gun violence and entities that may profit\n\n\n\nDescribe the ways gun violence impacts individuals and communities\, including locally\n\n\n\nIdentify local initiatives working to reduce gun violence\, and how individuals and professionals can take action\n\n\n\n\nThis forum features keynote speaker Dr. Brian Williams\, a nationally recognized leader on the intersection of public policy and structural racism\, gun violence\, and health equity. He is also a trauma surgeon\, author of The Bodies Keep Coming: Dispatches from a Black Trauma Surgeon on Racism\, Violence\, and How We Heal\, and an Air Force Academy alumnus and former congressional health policy advisor. \n\n\n\nIn addition to Dr. Williams’s remarks\, regional speakers will provide valuable insights into gun violence’s effects from the perspectives of a care provider\, victim\, family member\, mental health professional\, and community activist.
