DESCRIPTION:This doctor-led group is a fun and safe place to hear briefly about an important health topic and enjoy a walk outside with a physician each month. \n\n\n\nIn March\, join Dr. Thomas Doyle for an engaging discussion on cardiology while walking around Washburn University. Participants should meet at the east side of Lee Arena. \n\n\n\nThe walk is open to the community. Participation is free and pre-registration is not required. Masks are required\, participants must be vaccinated and social distancing is enforced. \n\n\n\nAccording to the American Heart Association\, walking as little as 30 minutes a day can provide the following benefits: \n\n\n\nImprove blood pressure and blood sugar levelsHelp maintain a healthy body weight and lower the risk of obesityEnhance mental well-beingReduce the risk of osteoporosis\n\n\n\nWalk with a Doc (WWAD) is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire communities through movement and conversation.
